Centennial Celebration, 1917-2017


The Village of Claribel, later known as the City of Richmond Heights, was incorporated in 1917. Through quality leadership and community togetherness, the now City has maintained a superb suburban lifestyle for all residents to enjoy; united, we enjoy top-notch safety and Fire/EMS services, family-friendly recreational programming and a beautiful community that offers everything from a spacious tree-lined park to our City's pool and Kiwanis Lodge. 2017 marks 100 years of vibrant history in Richmond Heights. Arbor Day Ceremony
Wednesday, April 26, 2 p.m. to 3. p.m.
Near the tennis courts at Richmond Heights Community Park
Come join us as we plant a white spring snow crab tree by the tennis courts. The event will feature special guest speaker Alan Siewert of the ODNR Division of Forestry.


Computer Science for All (CSforAll)
Thursday, April 27, 4 p.m. to 9 p.m.
The Hub at Richmond Heights High School
The Computer Science for All (CSforAll) event is an opportunity for all community members in Richmond Heights to become familiar with The Hub, a technology resource located in Richmond Heights High School. There are many topics being developed regarding technology usage for all ages and skill levels that will be meaningful to residents. Shred Day and Harvest for Hunger Campaign

A non-perishable food donation is appreciated, but not required to participate in Shred Day.


Spring Concert

Richmond Heights Local School District will showcase a spring concert entitled "That 70's Concert." The event will feature students in Grades 3-6. All are welcome to attend.


Total Wellness Workshop
Monday, May 22, 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
"Jus Dance!" Studio, 740 Richmond Road
This program will guide you through meditation, Pound, yoga and reggae belly dancing in one non-stop evening of wellness. Appropriate for all fitness levels and taught by industry professionals. A $25 fee per person applies. Call (440) 363-1017 to register.

Richmond Heights Kiwanis Club Car Show

Spectator admission is free. There is a $10 per car pre-registration fee or $12 at the door. The event will feature various food selections for purchase, a live DJ and approximately 100 vehicles on display.


National Night Out and Centennial Bike Ride
Tuesday, August 1, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
 
Richmond Heights City Hall
Come enjoy a police-escorted City Bike Ride, music, food, police displays and more! National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live. This is the second annual National Night Out in Richmond Heights.


Senior Day at the Park

Attention seniors! Come enjoy an entertaining outing at Richmond Heights Community Park. During this event, the City will host a pickleball tournament. In addition, attendees will be able to enjoy a live concert, and food will be available for purchase. Many other activities will also be occurring, so be sure to stop by for the fun!


RH Community Unity Back-to-School Fair
Thursday, August 10, 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Richmond Heights Local School District Campus
Calling all Richmond Heights Local School District youths, their families and the community-at-large! At this year's Community Unity Back-to-School Fair, there is something for everyone. Students can pick up their class schedules and receive transportation information; meanwhile, parents along with the community can visit the schools to see where future leaders are developed. The event features an inflatable play area, live music, food, face painting and fun for the whole family.


University Hospitals Family Health and Safety Day

Community Conversations
Tuesday, August 29, 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Kiwanis Lodge, 27285 Highland Road, Richmond Hts.
Mayor David H. Roche, City Council and members of the City of Richmond Heights administration will host community conversations. The meetings are resident-driven conversations about our City and will include roundtable discussions with members of the administration representing the various City departments. Special guests include Dr. Renee Willis, Superintendent at Richmond Heights Local Schools; Lyndhurst Judge Mary Kaye Bozza; and others. The goal of the small group discussions will be to build and strengthen relations, as well as help residents better understand our challenges, bridge gaps, generate innovative solutions and inspire collaborative action.


Fall Fun Fest at the Farm

Join us for one of the City's biggest annual events! From inflatables and an obstacle course to music from the band, "Shout!" and a live performance by Dancing Wheels, there is something for everyone to enjoy. A Beer Garden, Jungle Bob and Magician Rick Smith, Jr., are just a few of the many other attractions. Bring your family and friends to this annual festivity, bigger this year than ever! 


Residential Real Estate Showcase
Tuesday, October 10, 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Richmond Heights City Hall
The purpose of the gathering will be to gain information that will help you buy, sell and/or finance homes in Richmond Heights. Real estate lenders, brokers and agents will be on hand to answer your questions and help you find the right Richmond Heights home for your family. The event offers FREE general public admission! Sponsors and presenters are wanted.


Richmond Heights Kiwanis Club Clambake
Thursday, October 12, 6:30 p.m.
Kiwanis Lodge, 27285 Highland Road
The Richmond Heights Kiwanis Club will host its annual Clambake on Thursday, October 12, at 6:30 p.m. at the Richmond Heights Kiwanis Lodge. The cost of the clambake is $29 per person. Those interested in signing up should complete a Reservation Form. Reservations must be received by October 8.


Shred Day
Saturday, October 14, 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Open to all! Feel free to bring up to five containers or bags of papers (please be sure they are light enough for you to handle and lift into the shredding truck.)


Pasta with a Purpose
Saturday, October 14, 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Cleveland Jet Center, 26380 Curtiss-Wright Parkway
The third annual Pasta with a Purpose fundraiser, which benefits the Richmond Heights Local Schools, will be held at the Cleveland Jet Center. This year's aviation-themed event will feature a Centennial Cocktail Hour from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. and will be followed by a spaghetti dinner. Tickets are $20 each through Sept. 9 and $25 each thereafter. Register online, at City Hall or by calling 216-359-1050. Business casual/semi-formal attire is requested.


Fall Bus Trip to Amish Country
Saturday, November 4, 6:45 a.m. to 7:45 p.m.
Departing from Richmond Town Square
Come visit beautiful Amish Country as part of our Fall Bus Trip! Organized by the Richmond Heights Recreation Board, this trip costs $40 per person and includes roundtrip transportation to various destinations and a full lunch. Click to view the itinerary and registration form. Registrations are limited based upon charter bus capacity and are available on a first-come, first served basis.
